UITGELICHT
Documentaire Goed leven, goed sterven
Componist Xiaoyong Chen maakte een muzikale vertaling van het stervensproces zoals dat staat omschreven in het Tibetaanse dodenboek. Als onderdeel van het Cello Festival in 2023 werd in augustus 2023 het oratorium ‘Kailash’ uitgevoerd.
Filmmaakster Sarah Marijnissen en regisseur Alexander Oey volgden de ontstaansgeschiedenis van het oratorium. Samen met de zangers en muzikanten onderzochten ze de relatie tussen leven en dood en hoe we dit ook in het alledaagse kunnen zien.

RESEARCH RETREATS
Captivating partnership between composers, cellists, and visual artists
In these courses composers and cellists collaborate. Retreats focus on the current exhibition in Dat Bolwerck, centre of arts in Zutphen. In that way music and fine art come together! We will conclude the retreats with two performances for the public.
With Jeroen den Herder, Vanessa Lann, Xiaoyong Chen, Wilma Pistorius, Alfian Emir Adytia and Hua-Hsuan Lee.
